10 Things To Know About IPS Mohita Sharma, The Second Crorepati of KBC Season-12

In season 12, another name just got added to the crorepati list and that's Indian Police Office Mohita Sharma. She is presently posted in Jammu and Kashmir and is the second person to win Rs 1 crore this season. The question which fetched Mohita Rs 1 crore amount was ‘Which of these explosives was first patented in 1898 by German chemist Georg Friedrich Henning and first used in World War II?’ She correctly answered it as RDX.

Before IPS Mohita Sharma, a few more civil servants participated in KBC. Like in 2017, Anuradha Agarwal and Dr Vinay Goyal won 15 lakhs and 12.5 lakhs respectively.

Here are 10 things you should know about IPS Mohita Sharma:

1. Mohita Sharma is a 31-year-old IPS officer of the batch 2017 from Manipur.
2. She hails from Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh but was born and brought up in Delhi.
3. Soon after she did her graduation, she started preparing for her civil services examinations.
4. After constant efforts of five years, in 2016 examinations, she secured an  AIR 262. She was previously, appointed in the Election Commission of India.
5. Mohita is a single child to her parents. According to Mohita, her father stood as a pillar beside her throughout her preparation days.
6. In 2020, she was appointed as an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) in Bari Brahmana town of Samba district in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
7. In 2019, she got married civil servant Rushal Garg. Garg is an Indian Forest Officer. He was the motivation behind Mohita’s participation in KBC.
8. Mohita has done her schooling from Delhi Public School, Dwarka. She has done her B.tech from Bharati Vidyapeeth College Of Engineering, New Delhi.
9. Mohita Sharma is an active personality on social media. She has 79K followers on Instagram. Now, even our host Mr Bachchan has started following her on Twitter.
10. Mohita Sharma is a dog lover. She meanwhile enjoys cooking and sings well too. 

First crorepati of the season was a Delhi-based woman Nazia Nasim, who didn’t use any lifelines throughout her game. She is currently working as a communication manager. She is a married woman with a ten-year-old son. Nazia’s mother was the real reason why she contested for KBC. Before this none of them won into crores this season apart from these two women.
