Dalit woman gangraped: A 19-year old Dalit woman was allegedly gangraped by two upper-caste men, including her employer's grandson, in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh on Sunday.
Furthermore, the family of the woman, who worked as domestic help, accused police of pressuring them to withdraw their complaint. They added that the police assaulted them when they approached them to register a case on Monday.
The woman said, "I was beaten up with broom by police personnel at the police station. They tried to put pressure on me for withdrawing the complaint."

Police superintendent Amit Singh Sanghi stated that an FIR has been registered against two men, identified as Aditya Bhadoriya and an unnamed person, under section 376 D (gang-rape) and the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. He further added that they are probing into the accusation against the police too.
According to the reports, the woman worked as a domestic help at the house of one of the accused men's grandfather. She lived in a room her employer-provided. Aditya Bhadoriya allegedly stormed into her room, along with the other accused and raped her. When the employer came to know about the sexual assault, he threatened the woman and her family not to tell anyone about it.Dalit woman gangraped
In fact, when the woman’s parents approached the local police to register an FIR, they were allegedly assaulted by the police officials.
On the other hand, the police station in-charge Ajay Pawar accused the woman and her parents of lying. He claimed that they were not assaulted by anyone. He further added, "In the preliminary investigation, we found that the accused was an eyewitness to a murder case involving her uncle. The woman was recently in contact with the accused in the uncle’s case. We are investigating the matter.”Dalit woman gangraped
