Bollywood actor Neha Dhupia supported a woman who was told to share a video of herself breastfeeding. She showcased her support for the woman on a parenting page initiated by her on Instagram.
She also appreciated another woman for coming out in support of the mother who was being trolled.
“The journey of a new mum is something only she can understand... The last thing we need is to be questioned, mocked and worst of all trolled. I went through the same beats and I know how hard it is," she wrote.
Neha Dhupia also posted a picture of herself breastfeeding her daughter, Mehr captioned with the same note on her official Instagram handle.
In the note, she further added that a mother should be free to choose where and when she wishes to breastfeed. Dhupia then said that breastfeeding mothers are often looked at in a sexual manner and that mothers are working very hard to normalise it. She then appealed to everyone to normalise breastfeeding instead of sexualising it.
Dhupia's husband Angad Bedi says that he would love to work with her on-screen
Angad Bedi had recently revealed that he would love to star with her in comedy films similar to Piku or Gulabo Sitabo. “I would love to work with her, but it also depends on people wanting to cast us together. That is not in my hand or hers. Also, the project has to justify her and me coming together; people haven’t really approached us, that way. It could happen soon maybe," he said.
About a week ago, Angad Bedi had revealed why he doesn't wish to show their daughter's face. He said that both he and his wife would wait till their daughter is herself fine with showing her face in public. Till then, they wish to protect her from the paparazzi.
