Bigg Boss 9 winner Prince Narula spoke about the Yuvika Chaudhary controversy on Tuesday, May 25 saying that the couple didn't know the meaning of the casteist slur that Choudhary used in her video which went viral.
In the video that surfaced on the internet, Chaudhary was seen talking about her appearance and used the casteist word to make fun of her dressing style. Narula was also seen getting a haircut in the video which was uploaded to YouTube.
Once the slur in her video caught public attention, #ArrestYuvikaChoudhary became one of the top trending topics on Twitter with people strongly demanding the arrest of the actor. After the strong backlash, the couple issued apologies on their social media for uttering the offensive word.
Narula tweeted on his account saying that the couple did not know the meaning of the word and knew it after googling it. He further said that they feel bad for the "mistake" that they made.

Who is Prince Narula?
The model and actor caught the public eye after winning the MTV Roadies season 12 and &TV's Badho Bahu in which he played the role of Lucky. Narula also later became the winner of the reality shows Splitsvilla season 8 and Bigg Boss season 9 in 2015.
The actor who hails from Chandigarh started his career by participating in the Mr Punjab competition and became the second runner up of the competition. He has also been a Gang Leader in MTV Roadies since 2016. Narula was also seen as Aryan in 'Laal Ishq' opposite Yuvika Chaudhary, and as Shahnawaz in colour TV's Naagin 3.
The actor met Yuvika Chaudhary as a participant in Bigg Boss 9 and the couple dated for a few years and got married at the end of 2018. Narula also participated in Season 9 of Nach Baliye with Chaudhary and finished as a winner.
Choudhary on May 25 apologised for her vlog after activists and netizens called for action against her under the Scheduled Castes – Scheduled Tribes Act, saying she “didn’t know the meaning” of what she said.
