Naseeruddin Shah Hospitalised: Veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah was hospitalised due to pneumonia after doctors found a patch in his lungs.
The actor was wheeled into a city hospital in Mumbai on 28 June 2021. He is currently undergoing treatment for pneumonia and is reported to be responding well to the treatment. Shah’s family- wife Ratna Pathak Shah and kids – are spending time with him in the hospital.
Shah’s manager confirmed the news to Bombay Times saying that the actor is currently on bed rest and in the hospital for two days. He is under constant medical supervision. The manager also confirmed that he was diagnosed with pneumonia and it became necessary for him to get admitted to the care facility immediately. “His condition is now stable and he's responding well to the treatment,” stated the manager. The actor is preparing to be discharged soon from the hospital.
The seventy-year-old actor was rumoured to be unwell last year as well when his son Vivian dismissed the false information on Twitter. Vivian informed the fans that all was well and his ‘Baba’ is keeping fine.

Shah is a three-time National Award winner and has been honoured with the Padma Shri and the Padma Bhushan for his esteemed impact on the Hindi Film Industry.
