MacKenzie Scott Husband: The philanthropist and billionaire, it was recently revealed, is now married to Seattle-based science teacher Dan Jewett. Scott was previously married to Amazon CEO and founder Jeff Bezos.

Announcing his marriage to Scott, Jewett wrote on Giving Pledge, a non-profit they are donating billions to: “I am married to one of the most generous and kind people I know — and joining her in a commitment to pass on an enormous financial wealth to serve others. I look forward to the growth and learning I have ahead as a part of this undertaking with MacKenzie.” More here.

1. Dan Jewett is a science teacher at Lakeside School, Seattle, Washington. He has been a teacher for the majority of his life.

2. Along with his wife Scott, he is giving away a big chunk of their fortunes to Bill and Melinda Gates' non-profit Giving Pledge. Scott received current worth stands at $53 billion, according to Forbes. She had received $38 billion from Bezos in the world’s biggest divorce settlement and has since given away over $4 billion to charity.

3. According to the note he penned, Jewett is a firm believer in philanthropy and human relations. He is motivated to act and contribute towards humanitarian efforts that recognise people distinct in religion, sexual orientation, gender, etc.

4. "I have seen many ways that MacKenzie has seen her efforts enhanced when she acts on the belief that those with common values but different perspectives, strengths, and experiences are essential to effecting positive change. We are united in that understanding," he writes hailing his wife.
