Former Indian bowler Irfan Pathan who often voices his opinions on public issues recently responded to hate tweets and criticism over a picture of his wife Safa Baig. A picture of the couple with their son received major criticism from netizens after it was uploaded on their son's Instagram account.
The said picture had Baig's face blurred out and it led to criticism that Pathan is not letting his wife reveal her face. Responding to the backlash, the cricketer said that it was his wife's choice to blur out her face and added that he is her mate and not her master.
Pathan posted the same picture on his Twitter profile and said that the picture was posted by her wife on their son's account and she blurred her face in it by choice.
“This picture is posted by my queen from my son’s account. We are getting a lot of hate. Let me post this here as well. She blurred this pic by her choice. And Yes, I’m her mate, not her master," said the 36-year-old cricketer.
