Aamir Khan COVID-19 positive: The actor has tested positive for the coronavirus and is self-quarantining at home, a spokesperson said. This comes amid news of coronavirus cases rising in number in Maharashtra, with an alarming spike seen in Mumbai where the actor is based.
Khan's representative was quoted saying, "Mr Aamir Khan has tested positive for Covid 19. He is at home in self quarantine, following all the protocols and he's doing fine. All those who came in contact with him in the recent past should get themselves tested as a precautionary measure. Thank you for all your wishes and concern."

Khan had been shooting with actor Kiara Advani for a commercial directed by Nitesh Tiwari, as per reports. Advani will reportedly get herself tested for the virus.
On the film front, Khan is working on his next Laal Singh Chaddha, a Hindi remake of Tom Hanks-starrer Forrest Gump. Kareena Kapoor Khan and Mona Singh will play key roles alongside Khan.
A day after his birthday on March 14 this year, Khan had announced his exit from social media. "Considering that I am SO active anyway, I have decided to drop the pretence," he wrote saying all updates about him and his films will now come via a new account, Aamir Khan Productions.
