Shatakshi And Prateek Love Story
“My wedding was almost here and I was hitting the gym religiously. One day while heading to the gym I had an accident and I broke my knee bone badly. My first thought was whether my wedding would get postponed. I called my fiancé and he rushed to me immediately.
When he arrived, I couldn't even stand up, but he picked me up and helped me sit in his car. He gave me painkillers and took me to the hospital. After getting admitted and talking to the doctor, I called my family and informed them of the situation. The doctor said I would need surgery once the swelling subsided a little. He scheduled the surgery after five days. My fiancé was there for me every single day. On the day of the operation, I needed blood, and fortunately, our blood types matched, so he gave me his blood.
I had to wear a plaster for two months so we postponed our wedding from January to March. I felt extremely under-confident during this time, wondering what people would say about my injury and if I would limp for a long time. But he and his family supported me through it all. Once the plaster was removed, I started using a walker to walk, but the injury was still fresh so there was a lot of swelling and a lot of limping. I couldn't even put my leg on the ground. I practised walking for the pheras, but I was still struggling. I felt embarrassed and hopeless.
Finally, our wedding day was here and I was excited. Once it was time for pheras, I got nervous. But as soon as we started, he lifted me up and held me close to his chest. It was a beautiful moment, and I felt so grateful and blessed to have him by my side.
As we finished the pheras, he set me down gently and we exchanged garlands. The audience was in awe, and many tears were shed. I looked into his eyes and knew I was marrying the man of my dreams. He had supported me through thick and thin, and I knew he would continue to do so for the rest of our lives.”
