Coffee is the second most consumed beverage in the world, with the first being water! A good cup of coffee a day releases dopamine in our brain, a chemical that stimulates happiness, energy, and a relaxed mind.

Malavika Hegde- Café Coffee Day

After the sudden demise of her husband VG Siddharta in 2019, Malavika took over this café chain and strategically reduced the earlier whooping debt of more than 7000 crore to 1731 crores. She sold a part of her stakes to shareholders, raised money by strategically acquiring Global Village Tech Park in Bengaluru from Blackstone private equity. She exported high-quality Arabica beans from their 20,000-acre coffee farms abroad. 

For Café Coffee Day, the brainchild of her husband, she opened a Value Express kiosk, giving access to coffee to loyal CCD lovers at theatres, workplaces, malls, and even highways! Despite not having a formal business education, her leadership surely sets a milestone for the business world.

Aditi Somani Satnaliwala- Country Bean

Aditi co-founded Country Bean with her husband Anish Satnaliwala in 2016 with a simple dream to bring revolution to how India experiences coffee. The couple aims to revolutionise the ‘at-home coffee’ experience by providing delicious, easy, and affordable coffee solutions.  hot chocolates, palm jaggery, muffins, cheesecakes, and cookies. Her brand has made a whopping 15 crore revenue in FY22 and has been a favourite to more than 5 lakh customers!

Poornima Katyal- Third Roast Coffee

A former Brand Marketing Manager with Google, Poornima Katyal’s 14 years of experience in the marketing field adds to the portfolio of her startup Third Roast Coffee. Katyal also did a project 'Internet Saathi', at Google which promoted digital literacy among rural women. Third Roast, founded in 2018 aims to make guilt-free sweetstuffs for daily consumption. Her brand’s coffees along with diabetic-friendly fudge are a good dopamine dose for health-conscious individuals.

Namrata Asthana- Blue Tokai Coffee

Asthana along with Matt Chitharanjan and Shivam Shahi launched Blue Tokai Coffee. Her brand backed by Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone’s Ka Enterprises and A91 Partners surged up to Rs 127 crores for FYI23. Blue Tokai Coffee has over 92 outlets in India and Japan. Namrata Asthana an ex Pepsico employee, co-founded this brand in 2013. Since then, her brand has reached various milestones including the recent “Coffee Chain of the Year” award at the 13th Annual Indian Restaurant Awards 2024.

Manvi Gupta- El Bueno

Manvi Gupta is the founder of El Bueno Coffee. Her brand strives to give customers an experience of a roasted cup of roasted coffee. With different options to start with, from small 100-gram bags, and ground coffee for home equipment (channi grind). She aims to educate more about the richness of roasted coffee to her customers.
