Mariana Varela and Fabiola Valentín Tied Knot, After Dating For 2 Years

Another celebrity fairytale same-sex wedding came to light, this time it will make you go all 'aww'. The beauty queens Mariana Varela and Fabiola Valentín tied the knot on October 28 after keeping their relationship secret for two years. 

Mariana Varela and Fabiola Valentín won Miss Argentina and Miss Puerto Rico respectively in 2020. Both of them took to Instagram to reveal their relationship and that they have officiated it after secretly dating. On October 30 the couple shared glimpses from their two-year relationship in a video compilation. From trips to the proposal the video showed their journey. Further, the video caption suggested that Varela and Valentin tied the knot on October 28.

The caption could be translated as After deciding to keep our relationship private, we opened the doors to them on a special day. 28/10/22.

Post-announcement the congratulatory messages started flooding in. It also included messages from a few fellow contestants at the MGI pageant.

Abena Akuaba, the Ghanaian model who won the pageant in 2020 wrote, "Omg congratulations MGI brought together a beautiful union."

Samantha Bernado wrote, "Omg! Congratulations sisters! Lovelovelove!"

Varela and Valentín met for the first time at Miss Grand International (MGI) in 2020. They first became friends and kept in touch even after the pageant was over. Same-sex marriage has been legal in Puerto Rico since 2015 and Argentina legalised it in 2010.
