Reflecting on her ventures, Rakul Preet Singh discussed her early involvement in gyms and later explored different avenues. However, when the idea of a reusable diaper came to her, she was astounded by the numbers involved. Despite not being a mother or having immediate exposure to parenting, she deeply connected with the concept of global citizenship and its responsibility towards the planet.

Expanding on the issue, the actor pointed out the staggering number of diapers used by infants during their initial years, which amounts to around 5,000 to 6,000 diapers per child. She emphasised that these diapers are non-biodegradable and take approximately 500 years to decompose. This realisation highlighted the long-lasting impact these diapers have on the environment, as the first diaper ever made still exists somewhere on the planet.

Singh stressed the importance of prioritising sustainability, especially at a time when discussions on this topic are prevalent. She added, "Actors stepping into good causes, whether it's soil conservation or water conservation, is so important to sort of educate people, and that's how New Boo happened."

She further disclosed that the New Boo team had dedicated two years to its development, culminating in its successful launch in March. Singh expressed satisfaction with its performance, highlighting its composition of environmentally friendly materials such as cotton and bamboo.

It's good for the planet. Where you use 5000 diapers, you use only 15 of New Boo. So just imagine how much, even if 10% of diaper-using people shift to a more sustainable way, it's going to help the planet.

When asked about the challenges and excitement of managing her company alongside her demanding acting career, she emphasised the significance of having a competent team. She explained, "Two girls approached me with the idea, and we have divided responsibilities. While I oversee the overall operations, I am not involved in the intricate manufacturing details or daily updates. However, I stay informed about the sales performance, PR activities, marketing strategies, product testing, and various other aspects that I contribute to."

Based on her journey, the actor offered valuable advice to aspiring businesswomen. She highlighted that there will be moments of challenge and uncertainty where obstacles may seem insurmountable. However, she emphasised the importance of staying resilient and channelling one's energy towards what one believes is right.

This approach, she believed, is not only applicable to business but also to life in general. Despite the inevitable difficulties that life presents, it is the ability to effectively navigate and overcome them that defines one's character and success.
