In a heartbreaking turn of events, popular social media influencers Anjali Chakra from India and Sufi Malik from Pakistan have called off their upcoming wedding, just weeks before the ceremony. The news sent shockwaves through their large social media following, who were eagerly awaiting the landmark celebration.

The New York-based couple, who rose to fame for their advocacy of LGBTQ+ rights in both India and Pakistan, announced their split through individual posts on their respective Instagram accounts. While both Anjali and Sufi expressed their deep sadness over the turn of events, they attributed the separation to "infidelity committed by Sufi."

New York-based social media influencers from India and Pakistan origin, Anjali Chakra and Sufi Malik gained widespread popularity in 2019 after the same-sex couple celebrated their love on social media accounts, showcasing their affectionate bond. 

The couple after five years of togetherness was all set to marry in the coming weeks before dropping a shocker for all their fans and followers. Anjali Chakra announced calling off their wedding through an Instagram post without gatekeeping the reason for their split as she clarified it was because of "infidelity committed by Sufi." However, Chakra requested everyone to not channel any kind of negativity towards Sufi.

Sufi Malik also echoed the same sentiments, addressing their split through a separate Instagram post as she "owned her mistakes". Sufi wrote: "I made an unrecognisable mistake of betrayal by cheating on her a few weeks before our wedding. I've hurt her tremendously, beyond my understanding. I am owning up to my mistake and will continue to do so."

She also added, "I've hurt the people I love and care about the most through my actions, including our family and friends; our community that I cherish."

Sufi requested their privacy and shared that all she could ask was for relentless forgiveness from Anjali and Allah. The reasons behind Sufi's infidelity remain unknown, and neither Anjali nor Sufi have elaborated on the details surrounding the situation.

The couple shared a YouTube channel with 1.36 L subscribers with the name "Sufi and Anjali" and it is unknown what will happen to the page after the split. While Anjali is a wedding planner business owner based in San Fransico and New York, Sufi is a lifestyle and travel content creator in New York.
