Women's Premier League 2023 is going to be an exciting watch because it will be the first time that cricket lovers will see female players from different countries bonding and interacting as they represent different Indian states. Here is a list of overseas players that we are excited about this season.

As important as WPL 2023 is for the exposure and promotion of women's cricket in India, it is also an exciting experience as women players from around the world come together, playing for Mumbai, Delhi, Gujarat, Bangalore and Uttar Pradesh.

Out of their country's jersey, these cricketers will be seen in the colours of Indian states as overseas players play together with Indian cricketers.

Nat Sciver-Brunt

This 30-year-old English cricketer has amazed the world with her amazing battling skills and mid-paced bowling technique. Nat Sciver-Brunt turned out to be the most expensive player of Mumbai Indians in WPL at the price of Rs 3.2 crores.

Sciver-Brunt was the first ever English cricketer to score a hat-trick in a T20 International match for women. She even has a shot after her name, 'Natmeg', which originated after she hit the ball during a match through her legs. She gave an excellent performance in the latest T20 World Cup and will be exciting to watch in WPL.

Another fierce batter of WPL, Australia's 27-year-old Tahlia McGrath will be seen playing for UP Warriorz in this edition of WPL.

With an amazing strike rate of 142, the cricketer had been trouble for Indian batters in 2021 Women's ODI matches in Queensland when she swung the ball both ways. Considering her amazing batting, she can be used as a finisher and also taking wickets and is being considered one of the aces of the UP team.

At a whopping price of Rs 3.2 crores at WPL auctions, Gujarat Giants seemed to have made a fair deal as 25-year-old Ashleigh Gardner will be a sight to watch.

T20 Women's World Cup's player of the tournament with a score of 110 runs and 10 wickets, this Australian right-handed batter and off-break bowler will be a menace to the opposing teams. With many records in her name, the young all-rounder is expected to slay the first edition of WPL.

Sophie Ecclestone

This English all-rounder is famous for her accurate slow left-arm spins and ruthless batting. UP Warriorz bagged Sophie Ecclestone at Rs 1.8 crores, their most expensive player in WPL, and is looking forward to utilising her full potential and talent.

The 23-year-old is a capable finisher as well as an excellent wicket-taker, the highest wicket-taker in the latest edition of Women's T20 World Cup with a total of 11 wickets and will definitely be an asset for UP Warriorz.

Ellyse Perry

This Australian all-rounder will be seen representing Royal Challengers Bangalore in WPL. The team bagged Ellyse Perry at Rs 1.7 crores and will surely be proud to have her on board.

The 32-year-old is one of the top-performing players in the Australian team and is an excellent bowler and an equally talented batter. With a strike rate of 122 and 1535 runs in T20I and her knack for taking wickets, chances are that RCB fans may finally get their much-awaited win this WPL season with Perry on the team.

Delhi Capitals brought this South African gem to their team at a price of Rs 1.5 crores. 33-year-old Marizanne Kapp was the first South African cricketer to take a hat-trick in T20I. Kapp is an outstanding bowler with a total of 76 wickets in her name in the T20I.

Not only this, she scored great runs for South Africa in the recent T20 World Cup. She is expected to be an important wicket-taker for Delhi Capitals in this season of WPL.
