Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor believes in eating local and seasonal foods. She is all set to welcome her second baby. Kareena has always spoken about superfoods that should definitely be a part of your diet for good health.

Rice

People often think that rice is the one thing to avoid to lose weight. But Kareena Kapoor recommends eating home-cooked rice. Kareena thinks that people should include rice in their diet. She even said that she cannot do without rice in her diet! 

She loves to eat khichdi and said that khichdi is her comfort food. Rice is easy to digest. She also insisted on having dahi chawal (curd and rice). She usually likes to have vegetable pulao (vegetable rice) with raita (packing in good bacteria, calcium, vitamins, and nourishing nutrients).

Ghee

Kareena in an interview that she eats ghee and it keeps her body, mind, and soul happy. She adds it in her dal, paratha, and in every meal possible. Ghee is loaded with Vitamin A and Vitamin D which is mainly made from cow’s milk.

Raw mango

Kareena loves raw mango which is also known as kacchi kairi in West India. Mango contains a high level of Vitamin A. It can be helpful for your immune system as well. 

 

Curd

Kareena eats curd at least once a day. Curd is packed with the healthiest bacteria, which makes it a brilliant gut healer. It is also good for every kind of gut issue, from indigestion to bloating. Curd is also full of calcium, which can help keep your bones and teeth healthy.

Coconut

Kareena includes coconut in her diet in order to maintain healthy hair. She loves to eat the maalai of the coconut. Coconuts are a good source of fibre because it contains vitamins and minerals. Coconut maalai (cream) is simply a thicker version of coconut milk. It can be taken as a dessert too.

Ragi (millet)

She includes bread made out of superfood like ragi (millets) in her diet. Ragi is also rich in fiber that helps with weight loss and diabetes. Roti, dosa, and idli can also be made with ragi. 

Gajar ka halwa (carrot cake)

Kareena likes to have gajar ka halwa (carrot cake).  A review by NCBI (National Center for Biotechnology Information) found that the carrot is loaded with vital nutrients and it is beneficial for human health. They are also rich in fibres which help in digestion. Kareena always confessed her love for Indian sweets.
