Yellowstone Season 5 Plot Divided In Two Segments: All You Need To Know

Yellowstone is all set to return to our screens with a season 5. Much loved by the audience throughout four seasons it’s no surprise that the show is coming back with yet another season. In January 2022, Yellowstone marked one of the most-watched shows with more than 11 million viewers for the season finale.

Yellowstone follows the life of the Duttons, a family that owns the largest ranch in Montana. John Dutton, the family patriarch is played by Kevin Costner, while the characters of his daughter Bethany and son Jamie, are portrayed by Kelly and Wes Bentley respectively. The cast of Yellowstone also features Luke Grimes, Gil Birmingham, Danny Huston, Cole Hauser, and Kelsey Asbille along with Teeter played by Jen Landon and Emily by Kathryn Kelly.

Yellowstone season five has further caused excitement in the fans as it will be coming back to the screens all new and improved with all of 14 episodes, divided into two chapters. Season five Chapter one will reportedly be on our screens in the early summer of 2022 as hinted by the executive producer David Glasser. He stated - "It’s the prime of the show, I think the show is still maturing, and there’s still a lot of stories to tell. I know with , he’s got a lot to say and a lot to write. He’s deep into season 5 of Yellowstone now. He’s got some incredible ideas that he shared that I think audiences are going to be really excited about."

Yellowstone Season 5 Plot: What to expect.

To stay on the theme of 1883- the prequel to Yellowstone, the series will take a short break after the first chapter, and the next seven episodes will be aired sometime later this year. As per reports, since season four saw the launch of 1883, season five chapter one will give further insight into Sylvester Stallone-led Tulsa King, while the second half will see the launch of the 1932 installment with a focus on Duttons during the era of Prohibition and the Great Depression.

Season five along with providing an insight into newer characters launched in season 4, will also take us through the major dynamic shifts that have happened in the Dutton family, with Jamie becoming a murderer, and Beth having access to some intel on Jamie, that could be harmful to his future. Since there weren’t any major cliffhangers to follow, two chapters of season 5 will set the ground for its prequels and spinoffs such as the 1883 and 1932 installments.

Paramount Network hasn’t provided any more details about the season, nor confirmed any date of release for Season Five. Even though not much detail has surfaced about this Taylor Sheridon hit, which premiered back in 2018, it is a known fact that with various spinoffs also being renewed for multiple seasons, Yellowstone is providing more than enough for fans to be entertained with.
