On June 4, actor Yami Gautam shared the news of her wedding with the director of the film Uri: The Surgical Strike, Aditya Dhar. The couple had a quiet wedding ceremony in the presence of their immediate family members and reports say it was held in Himachal Pradesh. Gitesh Sharma, the couple's wedding planner revealed he made all the arrangements on a day's notice.

Gautam's wedding ceremony took place at her farmhouse in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. It lasted for two days. The actor's father contacted the wedding planner Sharma just a day prior to the festivities. He said to Mid-day, "Yami's father contacted us a day before their wedding ceremonies began. The Gautams brought their own family pandit from Bilaspur or Hamirpur for the rituals".
Sharing details about the wedding, Sharma said that they did not want a glamorous wedding. Instead, they wanted the ceremonies to be conducted in a natural and traditional way. They got married in front of a deodhar tree. The mandap was decorated with marigold flowers and banana leaves. The theme of gold-and-white ran across the décor. After the wedding, there was a reception in the evening with family members. The mehendi ceremony took place in the courtyard. A traditional lunch of Mandi Dham followed the wedding.

They captioned the picture as, "With the blessings of our family, we have tied the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony today. Being very private people, we celebrated this joyous occasion with our immediate family. As we embark on the journey of love and friendship, we seek all your blessings and good wishes". Over the pat few days, Gautam shared a few more pictures from her Mehendi and Haldi rituals on Instagram.
