Yami Gautam announced the joyous arrival of her baby boy on May 20. Yami, who announced in February that she had been expecting, shared the happy news with her fans and followers, expressing immense gratitude to the medical team that supported her through this special time.
Yami Gautam And Aditya Dhar Welcome Baby Boy
The couple revealed that their son was born on Akshaya Tritiya (May 10), a significant festival in Hinduism and Jainism, celebrated on the third lunar day of the bright fortnight in the month of Vaishakha. This auspicious day added an extra layer of joy and significance to the occasion.
The couple also shared that their son has been named Vedavid. The name "Vedavid" is derived from Sanskrit and refers to a Brahman who is well-versed in the Vedas. It is a prestigious title given to individuals with profound knowledge and understanding of the ancient Hindu scriptures, particularly the four Vedas: Rigveda, Yajurveda, Samaveda, and Atharvaveda.
In her heartfelt message, Yami extended her sincere thanks to the exceptionally dedicated professionals for their expertise and tireless efforts, which played a crucial role in making this joyous occasion possible. Yami's statement read, "We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the exceptionally dedicated and wonderful medical professionals at Surya Hospital, especially Dr. Bhupender Awasthi and Dr. Ranjana Dhanu, whose expertise and tireless efforts made this joyous occasion possible."
Speculation about Gautam’s pregnancy began circulating after her public appearance with Aditya Dhar, where she was seen concealing her belly with a dupatta.
Yami Gautam, Aditya Dhar Love Story
The couple exchanged vows on June 4, 2021, after dating for over two years. Their love story began on the sets of Uri: The Surgical Strike in 2019, where they met and eventually fell in love.
The couple successfully kept their relationship out of the limelight and surprised everyone with their wedding announcement. When asked about how they managed to keep it a secret despite constant media attention, Gautam said, "I’m so glad the journalists are surprised for the right reasons. I received messages from so many journalists that ‘We just don’t believe that’ and ‘How could you have this?’. I think we were very lucky. I’ll just put it to that. Both of us are very private as individuals. We’re not someone who likes to go out for outings and all those things."
