Yami Gautam Aditya Dhar Love story: Actor Yami Gautam tied the knot with the Uri director Aditya Dhar in an intimate ceremony in presence of close family members in June 2021. The couple took to social media to make the wedding announcement and also shared a picture of themselves from the ceremony.
However, the update left many wondering about their love story which has been answered now by the actor in a recent interview with HT City.
When asked about when they started dating, the actor confirmed that it started during the promotion of Uri: The Surgical Strike in 2019.
“That’s when we started talking. I wouldn’t call it dating. But yeah, that was a time when we started interacting with each other and started a friendship,” Yami told Hindustan Times.
Further in the interview, Yami Gautam confirmed that a few common friends were aware of their relationship, however, they respected the couple’s privacy.

The 32-year-old actor was asked about how she was certain about spending her life with Aditya Dhar. “You just know it in your gut. It’s not something that you can really describe. You just know it. When you start understanding the person’s value system, and what family he belongs to. You don’t have to have similarities or share common things in your interests, but have similarities in your value system and in your ethics,” she said.
The newlyweds got married amid the COVID-19 outbreak in an intimate ceremony. The Kaabil actor asserted that she wouldn’t have “changed anything about the wedding” even if there was no pandemic.
“Even if there was no pandemic, we would’ve still wanted this quiet and personal ceremony with our families, and just the way it was in a place where we both connect with,” she said.

Earlier this month, Yami Gautam was summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with an alleged violation of FEMA (Foreign Exchange Management Act).
As per reports, it was the second summon issued to the actor and she was asked to visit the ED office in Mumbai on July 7 to record her statement with the agency.
