Bollywood actor and co-owner of the IPL team Punjab Kings Preity Zinta says that despite a new name and new jersey, her team 'won't stop giving heart attacks'.
This comment came from her after the team started off the IPL 2021 tournament with a last-ball win by 4 runs over Rajasthan Royals on Monday.
Zinta's team scored 221 for 6 wickets riding on captain KL Rahul's 91 runs, 64 of which were scored off 28 balls. In response, the captain of Rajasthan Royals Sanju Samson slammed 119 off 63 balls. However, he was caught in the boundary in the final ball of the match and failed to take his team over the line.
After the match, Zinta tweeted, "Yeah What a game! We have a new name and a New Jersey, still #saddapunjab won't stop giving heart attacks in a game. What to do? Not a perfect game for us but in the end it was PERFECT. Wow @klrahul11, @iamdeepakhooda & all the boys @PunjabKingsIPL".

Preity Zinta also praised Sanju Samson, the captain of the opposition team for his innings. "A special mention to #Samson for an incredible knock! So happy to start this tournament with a win," added Zinta.
The PBKS captain also agreed that their game is not for the light-hearted. In a video posted on the official website of the IPL, he said to Arshdeep that as a captain, he wants to keep being a part of such games. He then said, "But Punjab Kings is not for the light-hearted, it was not the case last year and I do not think it will be this year as well." The captain further added, "Fingers crossed, we will win some games comfortably." Finally, he said that it was a great win and very important for them to start this way.
In the last edition of the tournament in UAE, the franchise played many close games. After this, both Zinta and Rahul had said that Punjab's matches are heart-racing ones in the IPL.
