Kahaani (2012)
Directed by Sujoy Ghosh, Kahaani witnesses the story of a pregnant woman, Vidya Bagchi (Vidya Balan) who sets out to find her missing husband Arnab Bagchi in Kolkata two years after the poison gas-attack. The film unravels to disclose the murder of Milan Damji, an IB officer responsible for the poison gas-attack who resembles her husband.
The movie came back with a sequel in 2016 with Vidya Balan in the lead as Vidya Sinha/Durga Rani Singh in Kahaani 2.

Mardaani 2 (2019)
A sequel to Mardaani, the movie stars Rani Mukherji as Superintendent of Police Shivani Shivaji Roy. The officer is on a quest to find and arrest a psychopath rapist-killer, Sunny who targets outspoken women. While its prequel Mardaani was more focussed on child-trafficking and drug racket, Mardaani 2 focusses more on rape and crimes against women.

The Girl On The Train (2021)
Based on Paula Hawkins’ novel of the same name, Parineeti Chopra starrer displays the story of an alcoholic and troubled divorcee lawyer who idealises the life of a woman she saw in a house on her way back on the train.
Mira becomes a prime suspect in the case investigated by inspector Dalbir Kaur Bagga (Kirti Kulhari) when the woman is found dead in the nearby forest.
The movie was postponed to be released in 2021 on Netflix due to the pandemic.

Badla (2019)
Another Sujoy Ghosh movie, Badla revolves around Naina Sethi (Taapsee Pannu), a young businesswoman in London who gets arrested for the murder of her lover, Arjun. Her lawyer hires a reputed defence attorney Badal Gupta (Amitabh Bachchan) to fight her case and prove her innocence. Later, it is discovered that Naina and Arjun killed a boy in an accident which neither of them reported and months later, a blackmailer calls them to the hotel where Arjun was murdered.

Meera keeps on searching for her son's missing body in the hope of finding it some day.

Game Over (2019)
Another Taapsee Pannu starrer, Game Over is a story of Swapna, a successful game designer, who suffers from PTSD and tries to keep mysterious invaders out of her house.
The movie starts with a scene where a mysterious serial killer murders a girl suffering from cancer by wrapping her head in plastic and tying her hands behind her after which he beheads her and sets her body on fire.
The movie has been applauded for its engaging screenplay as well as Pannu for her outstanding performance. The movie was released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on Netflix.
