It featured some great series based on women that became the talk of the town in 2020-21. The year ahead will also see the release of some intriguing series with women in pivotal roles, some of which will be new while others will be the sequels of our loved series.

Finding Anamika

This Netflix series is based on a the life of a global superstar who is also a mom and a wife. One day, she suddenly disappears and that's when the revelation and mystery begins. As the police investigation proceeds, her perfect looking life seems to break down and reveals a web of lies and facades. The web series stars Madhuri Dixit as the female protagonist along with Manav Kaul, Lakshvir Saran, Muskkaan Jafari, and Suhasini Muley.

Masaba Masaba Season 2

The biographical web series of fashion designer and Neena Gupta's daughter, Masaba Gupta will be back with its season 2 in the coming year. The season 1 featured the onscreen version of various aspects of her personal and professional life and the second season will likely be a continuation of it. Neena Gupta and Masaba Gupta play themselves in this Netflix series.

Hush-Hush

Hush Hush is an all-women web series that has a female team both, on screen and behind screen that will be releasing in 2022. The teaser of the series was released on 2021 Women's Day. The cast includes great actors like Juhi Chawla, Soha Ali Khan, Karishma Tanna, Kritika Kamra and Ayesha Jhulka and Shahana Goswami. The plot is not yet revealed but it will have strong protagonists and their lives along with some mystery, as hinted in the teaser.

The Emmy nominated girlfriends are ready to rock it again in 2022. The shooting for the season 3 of the web series starring Kirti Kulhari, Maanvi Gagroo, Bani J and Sayani Gupta has resumed as per a post shared by Kirti Kulhari from the sets. The comedy touches to various aspects of a woman's life like ambitions, motherhood, work-life issues and anxiety in male-dominated society.

Fabulous Lives Of Bollywood Wives Season 2

The wives are back with a new season. The first season of the web series based on and starring the Bollywood wives Maheep Kapoor, Bhavana Pandey, Seema Khan and Neelam Kothari was popular despite of the mix reaction it got from the audience. The shooting for the second season has begun and was announced by Karan Johar himself. He shared a video of behind the scenes on social media where the cast can be seen getting ready for shoot.

Delhi Crime Season 2

The award winning crime thriller will be back with a new season and a new case in 2022. The official date of Delhi Crime Season 2 is yet to be declared but it is in the list of new seasons coming on Netflix. The first was based on the after math of the Nirbhaya Rape Case of 2012 in Delhi. The Shefali Shah and Rasika Duggal starrer gained a lot of praise and appreciation and people are eagerly waiting for the next season.
