Women-centric films in November: Be it Kangana Ranaut in Thalaiva as the former chief minister of Tamil Nadu, J Jayalalithaa or Taapsee Pannu in Rashmi Rocket as a sportsperson, it is always a delight to watch powerful women on-screen. Meenakshi Sundareshwar
Release Date: November 5
The trailer of the film is already out and most can relate to the dilemmas that Sanya Malhotra's character Meenakshi faces in a long-distance marriage. The film is about a newly married couple, Meenakshi and her husband Sundareshwar, played by Abhimanyu Dassani. Meenakshi lives with her in-laws in Madhurai in Tamil Nadu while her husband moves to Bengaluru for a job. The story, directed by Vivek Soni, revolves around the ups and downs in their marriage and whether or not they will be able to work it out.
Bunty Aur Babli 2
Release Date: November 19
Sassy Babli played by Rani Mukerji is back. This time also she is quirky and outspoken. Part two of the film shows Babli and Bunty, played by Saif Ali Khan and Rani, a couple with a kid. Varun V Sharma directed film comes with a twist as this time there are two bablis and two buntys. The other Bunty and Babli are played by Siddhant Chaturvedi and Sharvari Bagh. They are both con artists. The film also stars Pankaj Tripathi as a cop. The trailer already has the viewers gripped and laughing out loud.
Hum Do Humare Do
Release Date: October 29
We all have heard about parents adopting children, but the film is another way round. Rajkumar Rao and Kriti Sanon's characters are in love and planning to get married. But they want a complete family with mother and father. To ensure the marriage works out Rao's character goes on a wild goose hunt to find parents to adopt. He ends up with Ratna Pathak Shah and Paresh Rawal as potential parents. This comedy-drama is directed by Abhishek Jain is going to release on Disney+ Hotstar.
Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway
Release date: Not out yet
Another much-awaited film of Rani Mukerji is Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway. The actor plays the role of Mrs Chatterjee in the film, directed by Ashima Chibber. It is based on a real-life incident. in 2011, the children of an Indian couple were taken away by the Norway Social Services and the couple were announced as unfit to raise their children.
Darlings
Release date: Not out yet
A dark comedy between a mother and a daughter. The film will be the first time that Shefali Shah and Alia Bhatt will be seen sharing the screen. They stay in a lower-middle-class neighbourhood in Mumbai. The story is about a duo finding courage and love in a time of hardship. It is co-produced by Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment. The teaser comes with a statutory warning, "offending women can be very dangerous for your health."
