The wedding invites of Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan are making rounds on the internet. Reports suggest that the couple will be sending a digital invite in the form of a video that reads, “We, Save The Date FOR THE wedding of Nayan & Wikkk. 9th June 2022. Mahabs”.

The aesthetic invite had a floral design with a beautifully decorated wedding venue and aisle in the background. The wedding will be a small gathering in the presence of close friends and family.

Who is Vignesh Shivan?

Nayanthara and Vignesh reportedly fell in love while working together in his directorial Naanum Rowdy Dhaan back in 2015. The couple has been dating for 6 years now and is often seen displaying affection publicly through pictures.

Shivan and Nayanthara got engaged back in 2021, on March 25 which was a private affair in the presence of only close family and friends. This news was confirmed by the couple, and Vignesh shared a picture of Nayanthara flaunting the ring.

He works as a film director, film producer, lyricist, and also as an actor in Tamil cinema. He often works with Nayanthara, where he acts as the director while she takes up the lead roles.

His most recent venture was Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal with Samantha and Vijay Sethupathi. Initially planning to be married in Tirupati, Vignesh Shivan addressed the change of venue stating, "We wanted to get married in a temple. However, there were logistics issues and it was difficult to bring our families to Tirupati. Hence, we decided to change the wedding venue to Mahabalipuram in Chennai."
