• Shefali Shah was appreciated by critics for her role as a cop in the web show Delhi Crime. The show then went ahead and won the International Emmy Awards for the Best Drama Series in 2020.
• Directed by Richie Mehta, Delhi Crime showed the story of the 2012 Nirbhaya Case and increased the expectations with OTT platforms to bring in good content. The main element of the show that brought the authenticity of the show was Shah's acting talent as she portrayed the character of the cop perfectly.
• Shefali Shah made her debut in the film industry with a small role in the 1995 film Rangeela. She played the role of supporting actress in Satya for which she won the Best Actress Filmfare Critics Award at the 44th Filmfare Awards. She was also nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Critics Award for the same.
• As her acting career progressed Shah was also nominated for Best Supporting Award at Filmfare for her performance in Waqt and Dil Dhadakne Do. She won the National Film Award in the category Best Supporting Actress for The Last Lear in 2007. For Dil Dhadakne Do, the actress received many nominations and also won the Best Ensemble Cast Award.

• After taking a small break from films after Dil Dhadakne Do, the actor-director came back with the film Once Again, which according to Shah is a very sweet and gentle love story. Delhi Crime, however, put Shah back in the centre of the frame and she was loved for her actions while also loving her role in the show.
• Shah's first directorial film Someday is a story that revolves around two women who are mother and daughter. Vidhi is a medical worker who comes home for a 7-day quarantine after her duty. Her mother is suffering from Alzheimer's which causes a distance between the two of them. The film deals with the family dynamics between a mother and daughter who try to find a common string in their relationship when one of them does not remember most of her life.
