Meet Rose Leslie, The Female Lead In HBO Series The Time Traveler’s Wife

Who is Rose Leslie? Actors Rose Leslie and Theo James have been cast as leads in HBO's much-anticipated series The Time Traveler's Wife.

The series follows the story of a couple, Clare (Rose Leslie) and Henry (Theo James), a marriage with a problem and time travel.

The Time Traveler’s Wife, the adaptation based on Audrey Niffenegger’s 2003 novel with the same title was previously adapted as a film for the big screen in 2009. The adaptation featured Eric Bana and Rachel McAdams in the lead roles, and directed by Robert Schwentke. 

The star of the upcoming series, Leslie, is widely known for her character in another HBO series, Game of Thrones. 

Who is Rose Leslie? Here are 7 things we know about her:

1. Leslie made her debut with New Town at the age of 21, for which she won the Scottish BAFTA for Best Acting Performance.
2. The 34-year -old actor first gained fame as Gwen Dawson in Downton Abbey, a gripping drama that spanned 12 years.
3. Rose met her husband, Kit Harington, on the sets of a HBO series Game of Thrones. In the hit-series, they played on-screen lovers Wildling Ygritte and Jon Snow.
4. Rose-Kit went from on-screen pair to real-life married couple. The co-stars had an intimate and beautiful wedding at the stunning 12th-century Scottish castle, Wardhill, in June 2018. 
5. Rose has got royal lineage on both sides of her family. Surprisingly, Kit and Rose are descendants of King Charles II, making them very distant cousins.
6. The couple Rose Leslie and Kit Harington welcomed their first child, a baby boy, in February. 
7. The Scottish actor’s upcoming project includes Kenneth Branagh directorial Death On The Nile, which is slated to release in September.
