Who is Raquel Welch: A rare public appearance of yesteryear Hollywood film star and model Raquel Welch has got fans talking. Best known for films Fantastic Voyage and One Million Years B.C., Welch, now 81, was spotted September 17 in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles where she reportedly stopped by the Heritage Auctions building.

She donned a casual look, with a white tee and black pants paired with a straw hat, as reported by Page Six. After achieving magnificent fame through the 196os and beyond as a reigning, mould-breaking "sex symbol," Welch retreated from public life and in recent years, has admitted to preferring and keeping a low profile.

Her Beverly Hills outing was snapped two years after an interview she sat for with The Sunday Post in 2019.

In it, she emphasised she was nowhere close to retirement but was selective now about projects she was picking. "I have been busy my whole life and I can’t stop now... As long as I still look like Raquel Welch, I’m happy," she said.
