Samantha Ruth Prabhu recently celebrated the success of her debut film production Subham. But what really grabbed attention was a selfie with filmmaker Raj Nidimoru, reigniting rumours of their alleged relationship.

In the caption, she wrote, "Thank you for watching, feeling and celebrating #SUBHAM with us! Our very first step—fuelled by heart, madness and the belief that new, fresh stories matter!" She added, "We are @tralalamovingpictures. And with Subham, the journey has begun. What a start!"

Who is Raj Nidimoru?

Raj Nidimoru is a well-known filmmaker, best known as one-half of the creative duo Raj & DK. He co-created The Family Man, Farzi, Guns and Gulaabs, and Go Goa Gone, among other acclaimed shows and films. 

He was born in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, and pursued engineering in India before moving to the US for further education. He later co-founded D2R Films with Krishna D.K. in 2002, starting with a short film titled Shaadi. Since then, the duo have created some of the most engaging content in Indian entertainment, combining satire, action, and innovative storytelling.

Raj and Samantha first worked together on the second season of The Family Man, where Samantha played a major role. They reunited for Citadel: Honey Bunny, and the actor is also set to work with Raj & DK on Rakht Brahmand and Family Man Season 3.

Who is Raj Nidimoru’s wife, Shhyamali De?

Shhyamali De is married to Raj Nidimoru. She is a psychology graduate and has worked in the film industry as an assistant director with names like Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and Vishal Bhardwaj. Her credits include Rang De Basanti, Omkara, and Ek Nodir Golpo. She’s also skilled in scriptwriting and has worked as a creative consultant on several film projects. Shhyamali and Raj reportedly got married in 2015 in a traditional ceremony and have a daughter together.

As buzz around Raj and Samantha’s rumoured relationship grew following the viral selfie, Shhyamali De shared a cryptic message on her Instagram Story that same day. Though she didn’t mention any names, the timing of her post led many to believe it was a subtle response to the speculation.

The message read- "I send blessings and love to everyone who thinks of me, sees me, hears me, hears of me, speaks to me, speaks of me, reads of me, writes of me and meets me today."

 

Rumoured Relationship

Rumours about Raj and Samantha’s relationship started swirling after they were seen holding hands at the World Pickleball League. Since then, fans and media have closely followed their bond, from Raj appearing in Samantha’s social media posts to the two visiting Tirupati Balaji Temple together ahead of her film’s release.
