Who Is Prajakta Mali? Marathi Actor Starring In Upcoming Social Drama 'Y'

Prajakta Mali, a Marathi actor, is starring in the upcoming social drama Y, directed by Dr Ajit Wadikar. The actor plays a brave and confident government officer in the movie. The movie Y will premiere in June.  The film stars Mukta Barve, Nandu Madhav, Omkar Govardhan, Rasika Chavan, Suhas Shirsat, Sandeep Pathak, and Rohit Kokate along with Mali.

The trailer for the movie was released on June 22. The narrative is indicative that the film will focus on the malpractices that are rampant in the medical and pharmaceutical fields like organ trafficking. A team of officials visit the hospital to look into irregularities there.

The team by contacting the patients whose records are missing, try to understand the scam running at the hospital. Barve's character is notified that patients are being hospitalised on Fridays, especially on the last Friday of the month, and meanwhile, the hospital staffers run a scam.

Who is Prajakta Mali?

Prajakta Mali is an actor and she was a sixth-grade student when she first appeared in front of the camera on the Dholkichya Talawar show. She has appeared in several Marathi films and television shows.

She earned both her undergraduate and master's degrees from Pune University's Lalit Kala Kendra, where she also placed first overall.

Prajakta has been studying Bharatnatyam dancing since she was 7 years old. She has excelled in all of her Bharatnatyam exams from the Akhil Bhartiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya. Additionally, Prajakta has her Visharad in Bharatanatyam.

On the Diwali Special Episode of Dum-Duma-Dum on DD Sahyadri, Prajakta choreographed and performed for the first time. Prajakta Mali won first place for his performance in the Star Plus talent competition show Kya Masti Kya Dhoom.

In the 2008 movie Taandala Ek Mukhavta, Prajakta Mali made her acting debut. She played a young artist in this film. She began her television career in 2011 with the Star Pravah television programme Suvasini. Later, in 2013, she was seen as Meghna Desai in the Zee Marathi programme Julun Yeti Reshimgathi. In 2013, she appeared in the Marathi movie Kho-Kho directed by Kedar Shinde.
