Who is Mithila Palkar: She rose to fame with her 2016 viral video but there is more to actor Mithila Palkar than her smile. She debuted in 2014 on-screen and since then the actor has proven her talent by playing an array of characters in critically acclaimed films and web series.
From the age of 12, Mithila Palkar knew she wanted to be an actor. It was the first time she had stepped on a stage and fell in love with the spotlight. Later in her life when she began the pursuit to act, her grandfather was sceptical of the idea. But as time passed and Palkar maintained her stand under the spotlight, things changed for good.
In 2014, Mithila Palkar made a debut in the Marathi film, Majha Honeymoon and her Bollywood debut with Nikhil Advani's Katti Batti. But she rose to fame with Dice Media's web series, Little Things. Her character was loved by many urban women as they could identify with her Kavya Kulkarni. In the series, she is cast opposite Dhruv Sehgal, Dhruv Vats in the show, who is also the creator of the show.
In the same year as Little Things, 2016, Palkar also did a web series called The Girl In The City, where she played the role of a young aspiring fashion designer from a small town, who feels the heat of staying in the big city.
In no time the girl in the city grew in fame. In 2018, she was seen in road comedy-drama, Karwaan with Irrfan Khan and Dulquer Salmaan. The storyline helms about Irrfan and Salmaan's characters going on a road trip to Kochi, however with a twist of fate Palkar's character ends up joining them.
There was no looking back after that. In 2019, Palkar acted in a Netflix film called Chopsticks, a comedy film also starring Abhay Deol. A woman seeks help from a con man to recover her stolen car, and the interaction changes the protagonists' lives.
Palkar has been criticised for playing girl-next-door characters. To which Palkar responded in an interview with The Indian Express. She said she does not feel restricted as an artist because she gets to explore every part of the character. And added, "Every girl-next-door is different and I have been discovering myself with every character that I play."
She also did a cameo role in A Babysitter's Guide to Monster Hunting. In 2021, she did Tribhanga, starring Kajol and Tanvi Azmi. A story of the relationship between three generational women. She played the role of Kajol's daughter in the film.

Palkar is currently busy with promotions of Little Things Season 4 on social media, it is going to release on October 15.
