Lashana Lynch is a British actress who will appear in Daniel Craig’s final James Bond film No Time To Die as the first-ever female 007. Recently, she reacted to the backlash that followed her casting and said that “I am one Black woman – if it were another Black woman cast in the role, it would have been the same conversation, she would have got the same attacks, the same abuse,”. She further added that “I just have to remind myself that the conversation is happening and that I’m a part of something that will be very, very revolutionary,” she is reported to have said.
32- year-old, Lashana Lynch in a recent interview with Harper Bazaar said that she has experienced a huge amount of backlash on social media following reports back in April that a Black woman would be appearing in the Bond role in the franchise’s next film. The star further confessed that she had to delete her social media apps to handle online abuse.

The actress is Jamaican by origin but was born in Hammersmith, London. She completed her education from ArtsEd Drama School, London. Lynch first appeared onscreen in 2007 with UK soap opera The Bill. She then went ahead to to appear in television series like Silent Witness, Atlantis, and Doctors among others.
She made her big-screen debut with the drama movie Fast Girls in 2012. Since then she appeared in films like Powder Room in 2013 and Brotherhood in 2016. Lynch is best known for her performance as Rosaline Capulet in the ABC period drama series Still Star-Crossed and her role of fighter pilot Maria Rambeau in Captain Marvel.
In her recent film No Time To Die, she is playing the role of a 00 agent who steps in to replace Daniel Craig's James Bond after he went to exile. The movie will release in cinemas on 2 April 2021, making the actress the eighth person to portray 007 in the film. In the movie, she will be seen performing next to high profile stars like Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Ben Wishaw, and Rami Malek.
