Who Is Jasveen Sangha? 'Ketamine Queen' Allegedly Behind Matthew Perry’s Dose

According to the Department of Justice, Jasveen Sangha is a central figure in a network involved in the distribution of ketamine and other drugs. Authorities claim that Sangha exploited Matthew Perry’s relapse by selling him large quantities of ketamine. Over a two-week period in October 2023, she allegedly sold approximately 50 vials of ketamine to Perry for around $11,000.

Her network included urgent care doctor Salvador Plasencia, a broker named Erik Fleming, and Perry’s live-in assistant, Kenneth Iwamasa, who reportedly injected Perry with the drug.

Drug Empire Uncovered

A search of Sangha’s home revealed what authorities described as a “drug-selling emporium.” The discovery included 80 vials of ketamine, thousands of methamphetamine pills, cocaine, Xanax bottles, and other illegally obtained prescription drugs. The scale of her operations suggested that Sangha was living a lavish lifestyle funded by her drug empire.

Reports from The Daily Mail highlight Sangha’s extravagant lifestyle. She allegedly boasted about luxurious vacations, including trips to Playa del Carmen, Mexico, where she owned a beachfront home, and Tokyo, where she stayed in a hotel costing over $1,800 per night. Sangha’s opulent lifestyle starkly contrasts with the tragic consequences of her alleged drug sales.

Link to Perry’s Death

Authorities claim that Sangha was fully aware of her involvement in Perry’s death. Following the actor’s passing, she allegedly texted Erik Fleming, instructing him to “Delete all our messages.” Sangha’s awareness of the potential consequences of her actions is further highlighted by her connection to another death—that of Cody McLaury in 2019. Despite knowing that ketamine was responsible for McLaury’s death, Sangha continued to sell the drug, ultimately leading to Perry’s fatal overdose.

Criminal Charges

Jasveen Sangha is one of five individuals arrested in connection with Matthew Perry’s death. Alongside Dr. Salvador Plasencia, Sangha has been identified as the lead defendant in the case. The charges against her include drug distribution and potential liability for the deaths of both Perry and McLaury. The investigation into her role continues, with the authorities emphasising the seriousness of the charges.
