Who Is Inayat Verma? Actor Plays Young Mithali Raj In 'Shabaash Mithu'

Inayat Verma, a child actor, will appear in Taapsee Pannu's film Shabaash Mithu as young Mithali Raj.

Verma, who has been in films such as Ajeeb Dastaans and Ludo, is going to star in this next film. Verma is well known for co-starring with Abhishek Bachchan in the film Ludo (2020). Kitchen Champion, Sabse Bada Kalakar, and The Kapil Sharma Show are among her other television appearances.

Who Is Inayat Verma

In 2017, Inayat participated as a contestant in various TV reality shows. She bagged a prize of Rs 1 lakh for qualifying as one of the finalists in India’s Best Dramebaaz.

At the promotional event for the Hindi film, Tubelight, in 2017, she also interviewed popular Bollywood actor Salman Khan. She appeared in Kitchen Champion in 2019 and interviewed Virat Kohli, the popular Indian cricketer in the same year.

Gaining immense popularity for her mini role in Ludo, she also played the character of Nushratt Barucha’s younger daughter, Binny, in Ajeeb Dastaans, a 2021 Netflix anthology. TV commercials have also featured Inayat. 

She was born in the Punjabi city of Ludhiana. Her father is a businessman named Mohit Verma, and her mother is a homemaker named Monika Verma. Inayat is a third-grade student.

Shabaash Mithu is a biographical sports drama film directed by Srijit Mukherji and produced by Viacom18 Studios in the Hindi language. Taapsee Pannu plays the eponymous character in the film based on the life of Mithali Raj, the former Test and ODI captain of India's women's national cricket team.

Last year, this film was supposed to be released on February 5. It was directed by Rahul Dholakia at the time. The release date of Shabash Mithu was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Rahul Dholakia was succeeded as director by Srijit Mukherjee in June 2021. Shabash Mithu will now be released on July 15. Taapsee Pannu plays Mithali Raj, the captain of the Indian women's cricket team, in the film.
