Ellen Barkin, Johnny Depp's ex-girlfriend, claimed the actor drugged her before sex. She alleged that the star overindulged in alcohol during their initial sexual encounter. She also said he was controlling and gave her a drug.

In the 1990s, Johnny Depp and Ellen Barkin were romantically involved. Depp's ex-wife Amber Heard called Ellen as a witness during the defamation trials. Prior to their relationship, the actor and Barkin were friends, according to Barkin. She alleged that Johnny had for the first time shown a desire to develop a sexual relationship with her.

According to Entertainment Tonight, Ellen said, "he came on to me in the living room of my house, pulled me onto his lap and said something like, 'Oh, come on Ellen,' or whatever. I protested a little and then — not too much. And that was that."

Who is Ellen Barkin?

Ellen Barkin is an American actor and producer. Following her breakthrough role in Diner in 1982, she starred in Tender Mercies (1983), Eddie and the Cruisers (1983), The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension (1984), The Big Easy (1986), Johnny Handsome, and Sea of Love (both 1989).

She gained notoriety for her performances as realtor Mitzi Roth in an episode of Modern Family and as Abigail Sponder in 2007's Ocean's Thirteen. In her career spanning over four decades, the 68-year-old actor has been involved in around 70 projects. For her role in the 1991 film Switch, Barkin was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Actress. She even received a Primetime Emmy for her performance as Glory Marie, the protagonist of the 1998 film Before Women Had Wings. 

For her Broadway debut in The Normal Heart, in 2011, she received the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Play. From 2016 to 2019, she starred as Janine "Smurf" Cody on TNT's drama series Animal Kingdom. On the NBC sitcom The New Normal, she played the leading role of Jane Forrest from 2012 to 2013.

Another Happy Day (2011), Letters to Juliet and Shit Year (both 2010) are some of her producing credits.
