Ted Lasso new season release date: Ted Lasso is reportedly in works for its third season after the makers announced the renewal of the show with Season 2 and 3 back in 2020. After a successful season 2, the show was scheduled to start filming for the third season on January 31, 2022. Ted Lasso revolves around inexperienced coach Ted Lasso hired to train struggling English Soccer team AFC Richmond.

Ted Lasso actor Phil Dunster reported that season 3 will start filming on January 31, 2022. The show had been renewed for the third season in October 2020. According to makers, the show was initially decided to be a three-season show but there is a possibility that it will renew further for a fourth season in the upcoming time given its rising popularity.

Ted Lasso follows the story of American Football coach Ted Lasso who has zero to no experience of the sport and is hired by English Football team AFC Richmond to ace the Premier League. Even though he is instructed by his assistant coach regarding all the technicalities of the game, the coach manages to get along with the team eventually with his ardent optimism and intuitive heart.

The show stars actor Jason Sudeikis, Brenden Hunt, Phil Dunster and Hannah Waddingham among others.

Expected plot

While the Season 2 left the audience with many cliffhangers, the show is expected to conclude many storylines owing to the three-season arc. However, if there is a possibility of Season 4, since the show has amassed a rising popularity, it is expected that new angles can also emerge in the upcoming season of Ted Lasso.

Ted Lasso New Season Release Date

Since the show has just begun with the production, it is unlikely that Ted Lasso will return any time soon. Actor and creator Jason Sudeikis pointed that Ted Lasso Season 3 may have a dozen episodes like the second season. Ted Lasso new season release date remains unknown as of yet but it is expected that the show will return with Season 3 around late 2022.

As per a report by the the Hollywood Reporter, ted Lasso is set to return to Apple TV in summer 2022. However the makers are yet announce the exact date. Since the show streams on Apple TV, no update has been given from their end as well. The same report added that many actors and writers of the show have renegotiated their contracts going into the third season.
