When Is Panchayat Season 2 Coming Out?

Panchayat Season 2 Release Date: Panchayat is an Amazon Prime Video series that features the life of an engineering student working as a Panchayat secretary in Uttar Pradesh when he faces difficulty in finding a job.

Panchayat is a Deepak Kumar Mishra directorial that was released on Amazon on April 3, 2020. The show focuses on the issue of unemployment and job scarcity in Uttar Pradesh and features the journey of an engineering graduate who ends up as a Panchayat secretary after searching for a job but not getting one worthy of his degree. The story is scripted by Chandan Kumar and Anurag Saikia has prepared the soundtrack of the film. Season 1 of the show ended in April 2020 after which season 2 was scheduled but it got delayed due to the pandemic.

Panchayat Season 2 Release Date

Abhishek Tripathi(Jitendra Kumar) is an engineering graduate and is finding really hard to find a job worthy of his degree. In the end, he is left with no choice other than to join a Panchayat in the remote village of Phullera in Uttar Pradesh as a secretary. A typical city boy, he finds it difficult to deal with the stagnant life of a village and the situations he comes across when dealing with his colleagues and the villagers. Season 1 ended with Abhishek's efforts to get used to his job and the life of the village. He is also preparing for CAT exam.

The new season will probably be featuring Abhishek's preparation for the exam and also a possible love interest in the form of Rinky, the daughter of Pradhan, played by Pooja Singh. We also saw Manju Devi (Neena Gupta) talking to the District Magistrate about her operations as the Sarpanch of the village. She told the DM that she will be investing her time in learning the way and work of a Sarpanch and no longer allow his husband to work in her stead. The new season is expected to feature Manju Devi's journey as an operating Sarpanch and take matters in her hand.

Jitendra Kumar's Panchayat is expected to release soon on Amazon Prime in 2022. There are no confirm date as of yet. The story will feature the regular cast of Jitendra Kumar, Neena Gupta and Raghubir Yadav and the plot is expected to focus on Abhishek and Rinky's story.

Panchayat Season 2 Plot:

The new season will most likely focus on Abhishek's test preparation as well as a prospective love interest in the form of Rinky, Pradhan's daughter, played by Pooja Singh. While Neena Gupta, the elected Pradhan of a village in Uttar Pradesh's Balia district, retains the seat because it was reserved for women, her husband is disqualified due to his gender. Despite the fact that she is the pradhan on paper, the entire community is content with her husband's leadership (Raghubir Yadav). As the episodes progress and the plot unfolds, Manju learns more about her role and profession. Finally, she seizes control of her position, something she has never done before throughout her reign. Season 2 will focus on Manju's job as Pradhan, as she fulfils her responsibilities and takes her own stands.
