Lupin debuted on Netflix back in 2021 with five episodes in its first season. With the success and popularity it gained, it was renewed for season two. Now that the show has been receiving positive reviews for the engaging plots and well-developed characters, the series is expected to return on the streaming platform with its third season.

Lupin cast include actors Omar Sy, Ludivine Sagnier, Clotilde Hesme, Vincent Londez, Soufiane Guerrab and Shirine Boutella among others. The story revolves around a professional thief Assane Diop, who avenges his father's death as he was wrongly accused for the crime he didn't commit by his employer Hubert Pellegrini. His father, Babakar Diop, hanged himself in his prison cell out of shame. Using his charm, mastery in thievery and disguise, Assane Diop attempts to expose Pellegrini's crimes.

Created by George Kay and François Uzan, the series became the most watched non-English series on Netflix during the first month of its release. Now with its increasing popularity, the series has been renewed for a third season. "We’re plotting that out right now, and I’m confident it’ll happen. We’re actively storyboarding with real confidence that this will happen because the response to the first five episodes suggests that will be released next year… unless something goes horribly wrong!" Kay said in an interview.

Lupin Season 3 Cast

The main leads including Omar Sy, Antoine Gouy, Ludivine Sagnier, Hervé Pierre, Soufiane Guerrab along with others are expected to reprise their roles in the third season. Fargass Assande can be seen as Babakar, Assane's father, in flashbacks yet again. Stefan Crepon, who was introduced in Season 2 as Philippe Courbet can also return for the next season of the French-language series.

According to the creators, fans can expect to see some new faces in Lupin Season 3.

If Netflix continues to keep up with the tradition, Lupin Season 3 will also include five episodes, much like the previous seasons.

There is no official Lupin Season 3 release date as of yet. However, creator George Kay mentioned in an interview earlier that the new episodes of Lupin are most likely to return in 2022.
