Hacks New Season Release Date: This widely loved comedy starring Jean Smart and Hannah Einbinder is all set to return to our screen, soon.

Hacks season 1 followed the life of Deborah Vance played by Jean Smart, a female comedian who has become complacent and settled in a comfort zone in a Las Vegas residency. Hannah Einbinder as Ava is a 25-year-old comedy writer from Los Angeles. The coming together of these two comics, through their shared manager Paul W Downs, in the wake of Deborah standing to lose her residency and Ava’s writing career being on life support. This unusual pairing up, leads to a friendship between these two women, breaking norms of generational conflict, and the realisation that the divide between women through generations isn't that wide after all.

Hacks New Season Release Date: More Details on Season 2

Hacks, following the dark mentorship between two comedians Deborah Vance and Ava, and their lives in Las Vegas, is now all set to make a comeback with a new season. Season 2 reportedly picks right up where season 1 left off. Talking about the character, Deborah Vance, and how it was a long-time dream, Smart stated- "I wanted to be a stand-up comic when I was a kid. When I was in middle school, I went to a costume party as Phyllis Diller, When my agent sent me the script, I said, 'You've ticked off that box on my bucket list.'"

HBO officially announced the renewal of  Hacks for season 2 in June 2021. The series co-creators Paul W. Downs, Lucia Aniello, and Jen Statsky, in a press release, stated -"We're so glad that story resonated with audiences, and we can't wait to get to work on season two. See you soon!" The cast of season two includes Carl Clemons, Jane Adams, Christopher McDonald, Kaitlin Olson, Paul W. Downs, Poppy Liu, Rose Abdoo, Mark Indelicato, Meg Stalter, Angela E. Gibbs, Luenell, Johnny Sibilly, Joe Mande, Ally Maki and Lorenza Izzo, returning from season 1.

Hacks announced the addition of a few cast members as recurring guest starrers in March 2022. The list includes Laurie Metcalf, Martha Kelly  Ming-Na Wen and Margaret Cho. Although no plot or more details about their characters are announced yet. Revealing more about the plot, co-creator Downs stated- "We start the season with really needing to get another residency, but in order to do that she has to get this new act in shape. She has to create a new hour, and she has to make it so undeniable that she'll be able to cement a new place for herself in Las Vegas ... Everybody's coming together to figure out how to make that possible in a short amount of time."

Hacks Season 2 Release Date: When and Where to Watch

Hacks season two starring these two powerful female leads, is all set to premiere soon on HBO as stated by the showrunners. No premiere date has been announced yet, but it is speculated that it will be released soon in 2022. More details are awaited.
