Alice In Borderland premiered on Netflix on December 10, 2020. The Japanese show, based on Haro Aso's manga of the same name, is directed by Shinsuke Sato and produced by Akira Morii. The first season was received well by the audience and the positive response led to the makers to announce a second season of the series. Netflix released a small teaser for the second season confirming that it is under process in December 2021 that anticipated the fans even more as it was really difficult to deduce anything from it. However, all of the fan's questions will be answered when the season 2 releases.

The science fiction thriller Alice In Borderland showcased the story of Arisu, a young man who is obsessed with gaming. One day, he gets thrown into Tokyo, that is mysteriously desolate, where he faces various challenges given to him by an unknown and invisible person. On his survival quest, he meets Usagi, a young woman in the game, and the two pair up to solve the hurdles. They later come across a bunch of other players whom they have to fight against in order to survive the game.
By the end of season 1, many of the players get killed while Arisu and Usagi are successful in escaping to an underground room where they find the expected gamemasters dead and meet Mira who tells them that the game has just begun. Season 1 cast included Kento Yamakazi and Tao Tsuchiya in lead roles with a supporting cast of Keita Machida, Nijiro Murakami and Sho Aoyagi. Season 2 is expected to have the two leads, Arisu and Usagi, returning as cast including the mysterious lady Mira.
The fans can expect a 2022 release for the season 2 of the popular Japanese show as Netflix is reportedly trying to bring it on floors by December 2022, after 2 years of the its premier. The 8 episode long first season covered approximately 31 chapters of the manga out of 64 total chapters. Hence, there is a lot to be unveiled about the story that the season 2 will reportedly cover.
