What Jhumka Out: Alia Bhatt's Saree Steals Spotlight In This Remake

The newly released song What Jhumka from the film Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani features Ranveer Singh as the enthusiastic Rocky, making efforts to win the heart of Rani, portrayed by Alia Bhatt.

The second song from Rocky aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, titled What Jhumka, has been released. Featuring the lead couple Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, the song is a lively dance track, ideal for igniting a party atmosphere.

Jonita Gandhi and Arijit Singh have both contributed vocals to the song, and Pritam has created the music. It premiered live on YouTube at 12 pm on Wednesday. It incorporates the main tune and certain lyrics from the iconic Jhumka Gira Re song while giving it a unique twist.

The song showcases a grand set with a number of background dancers. In this visually stunning setting, Ranveer Singh is seen dancing alongside Alia Bhatt, who looks stunning in a multicoloured saree. Dharma Productions posted the song promo on Instagram on Monday, with a caption that read, "You've heard of beat drop, mic drop, and jaw drop moments, but now it's time for the jhumka drop moment! #WhatJhumka, Song out tomorrow!

Directed by Karan Johar, the film features a star-studded cast, including Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi. Scheduled for release on July 28, the movie has already created a buzz with the release of its first song, Tum Kya Mile.

The first song of the film, titled Tum Kya Mile, is a melodious track sung by Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal. Pritam composed the music, while Amitabh Bhattacharya penned the lyrics. The song, choreographed by Vaibhavi Merchant, was released a few weeks ago and has already become a big hit.

The trailer introduces us to Rocky Randhawa and Rani Chatterjee, two individuals from contrasting backgrounds. While Rocky hails from a wealthy Punjabi family, Rani comes from a Bengali household that places a high value on knowledge and intelligence. Despite their differences, they fall in love. However, they soon discover that their families harbour animosity towards each other. In an attempt to win their families' approval, Rocky and Rani decide to "switch" and live with each other's families.

Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani is a significant project for Karan Johar, as it marks his return to the director's chair after a gap of over six years. The film also reunites Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, who previously delivered a hit with their collaboration in Gully Boy.
