Pavitra Rishta 2 Teaser: The teaser of much anticipated reboot of hit television soap Pavitra Rishta was launched on August 28. Featuring Ankita Lokhande and Shaheer Sheikh in the lead Pavitra Rishta 2 will have an OTT release.

The teaser introduces us to Manav and Archana, telling us that some relationships are special. From the teaser it seems that the second season will focus on giving love a second chance.
Sharing the teaser on social media, Lokhande wrote, "Love toh hoga hi in the air, jab Manav and Archana are there! Join them in the journey of love that will soon turn into #PavitraRishta."
The first season of the daily soap ran for over 1200 episode and featured Lokhande as Archana and late actor Sushant Singh Rajput as Manav. Rajput passed away last year in June, thus Sheikh was roped in to reprise the role of Manav in its reboot. Pavitra Rishta went on air in 2009 and ran for six years. Its lead actors Lokhande and Rajput fell in love while they were still part of the show. Rajput eventually quit the show to pursue a career in Hindi films and his relationship with Lokhande also came to an end eventually.
In July, the makers of the show shared the first look of Sheikh and Lokhande as Manav and Archana. Apart from Lokhande, veteran actor Usha Nadkarni will also be returning to the show from its original cast, while actors Hiten Tejwani, Asha Negi, Rithvik Dhanjani and Karan Veer Mehra will join as new cast members.
Soon after the first looks of the actors from the show were unveiled, fans started trending #BoycottPavitraRishta2 as they felt that Rajput's role of Manav should have been recast. Some even went on to accuse makers of the show of trying to make money off Rajput's legacy. Lokhande also faced backlash from the fans for agreeing to be a part of the reboot. Read more on that here.
