The spy-thriller, starring Hrithik Roshan, Kiara Advani, and Jr. NTR, War 2 is currently being filmed. Fans were recently treated to a glimpse of Hrithik and Kiara on set. A series of photos and videos from the shoot have taken social media by storm, showcasing the two actors in Italy.

In one set of viral images, Hrithik and Kiara are seen walking hand-in-hand, sharing some romantic moments on the picturesque streets of Italy. Hrithik is dressed casually in a blue shirt layered over a white t-shirt paired with denim jeans, while Kiara wore a pink dress. In a fan-shared video, Kiara can be seen playfully dancing around Hrithik, adding to the excitement around the upcoming film.
Just before these behind-the-scenes moments surfaced, Kiara shared some photos from her time filming in Italy. Hrithik also shared a photo on his Instagram. Captioning the post simply as "Taking it all in," Hrithik gave fans a peek into the scenic beauty of Italy. The picture was captured by stylist Anaita Shroff Adajania.
The film was officially announced through a glimpse of Hrithik Roshan's character in a post-credits scene from Tiger 3. In the post-credits scene, Colonel Sunil Luthra, played by Ashutosh Rana, informs Roshan's character, Kabir, about a new threat. His dialogue hints at the imminent danger and the immense challenge Kabir must face from the antagonist's role but without introducing Jr NTR.
War 2 Release Date
According to renowned trade analyst Taran Adarsh's tweet on X (former Twitter), War 2 is scheduled for an Independence Day 2025 weekend release. He shared, "BreakingNews… YRF ANNOUNCES ‘WAR 2’ RELEASE DATE: INDEPENDENCE DAY WEEKEND 2025… The sixth film from #YRFSpyUniverse - #War2 - now has a release date… Get ready for mayhem at the #Boxoffice on 14 Aug 2025 [Thursday]… #AyanMukerji directs the film that’s produced by #YRF (sic)."

About the highly anticipated War 2, Adarsh revealed that it is set to hit theatres on August 14, 2025, coinciding with the Independence Day weekend. With the release landing on a Thursday, it promises an extended four-day holiday weekend for audiences to enjoy the much-awaited sequel.
