Virat Kohli wishes mom Happy Birthday. While he is a doting father and a loving husband he is also a dutiful son. Cricketer Virat Kohli took to Instagram to wish his mother Saroj Kohli on her special day. And fans are melting away at the adorable gesture.

The post on Instagram shows Kohli protectively putting his arms on his mother's shoulders and steering her out of a crowd in a gurdwara. He captioned it "Happy Birthday Maa." His fans took no time to send their best wishes to the cricketing legend's mother. In a period of a little over one hour, the post has already garnered 2,269,592 likes.

Saroj Kohli lost her husband Premnath Kohli in 2006. She has three kids sons Vikas and Virat and a daughter, Bhawna. She resides in Gurgaon. The ace batsman has often spoken about his mother's sacrifices and how deeply she has influenced his life. She has a homemaker who ran the ship efficiently and brought up three kids.

Virat Kohli often shares pictures with his mother on social media. Earlier on mother's day, he shared a picture of his mother calling her a very strong and determined woman.

Kohli is considered one of the fittest athletes in the sport however, he underwent gruelling training to achieve the fitness he now enjoys. Earlier he also spoke about in an interview how his mother was not happy with his strict diet. "My mom used to tell me that I am becoming weak. I think that's a very regular thing any mother would say," he recalled in the conversation.

Kohli is married to actor Anushka Sharma and together they have a daughter whom they have named Vamika. Kohli has often spoken about women's rights and equality and never shied away from acknowledging the role of women in his success.
