Vikrant Massey and Radhika Apte Starrer 'Forensic' Set To Release On OTT

Forensic is a psychological thriller film starring Vikrant Massey and Radhika Apte that will premiere on OTT platform later this year. The actor, as well as the streaming platform, announced the film on their Instagram accounts today, April 5.

Forensic is a Hindi version of Tovino Thomas and Mamta Mohandas' Malayalam film of the same name, which was released in 2020. Vishal Furia directed it, and A Mini Films and Soham Rockstar Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. produced it. Both performers will play forensic experts and police officers.

Radhika Apte announced the news on Instagram with a poster depicting both actors on duty, Apte holding a gun and Massey holding a flashlight. Apte's and Massey's characters were also disclosed in the caption which says, "Evidence of a new edge-of-the-seat investigative thriller found. Case opening soon with Forensic expert @VikrantMassey and me as leading officer Megha Sharma"

Radhika Apte will play Megha Sharma, a police officer in the small town of Mussourie. While Vikrant Massey will play Johnny Khanna, a forensic officer who is the greatest at what he does, Johnny and Megha will work together to track down the ruthless criminal who has turned their lives upside down. Prachi Desai, Vindu Dara Singh, and Rohit Roy also play key roles in Forensic.

In the original Malyalam film of the same name, Tovino Thomas played Samuel John Kattukaran, and Mamta Mohandas played ACP Rithika Xavier.  And the plot follows Rithika as she investigates a case involving the serial killings of young girls with the help of forensic experts, Samuel and Shika (Reba Monica John). As Sam deduces the perpetrator's identity, he uncovers some alarming clues.

Apte's most recent film appearance was in Raat Akeli Hai, a 2020 Indian Hindi-language crime thriller drama film. Forensic, Vikram Vedha, and Monica, O My Darling are among her upcoming films in 2022. Meanwhile, most of Massey's films are direct OTT releases, he was most recently seen in 14 Phere and Love Hostel.

While the streaming platform Zee 5 also used the same poster in an official announcement post, the caption says, " EXHIBIT A: Evidence of a new edge-of-the-seat investigative thriller found. Case opening soon with forensic expert @vikrantmassey & leading officer @radhikaofficial"
