The film is expected to have a sequel more than ten years later. Producer Ekta Kapoor and screenplay writer Kanika Dhillon intend to revive The Dirty Picture, one of the biggest hits among the many sequels.
According to reports, there will be a follow-up to The Dirty Picture, and the filming has not yet started, but the sequel might shed light on the younger days of Silk Smitha. Balan who received a national award for her performance as Silk Smith in the original movie hasn't yet reportedly been asked to star in the remake. It is anticipated that the film's producers will provide official confirmation.

Producer Ekta Kapoor has been preparing a follow-up to The Dirty Picture for a very long time, according to a source who was cited in a recent report by Peeping Moon. This movie's screenplay was written by Kanika Dhillon, who is renowned for writing women-led dramas like Manmarziyaan, Haseen Dillruba, Judgementall Hai Kya, and Rashmi Rocket, among others.
Dhillon is reportedly co-writing the script with a male writer, and it should be finished by the end of the year. It has been reported that Rajat Arora, the writer of the prequel, won't contribute to The Dirty Picture 2.
