German Woman Accuses Tamil Actor Arya Of Cheating, Promising To Marry Her

A German woman accusing Arya of cheating has claimed the famous Tamil actor defrauded her of Rs 70 lakh on the pretext of marrying her. According to reports, a case has been filed against him.

With a Germany-based lawyer defending her case, the woman named Vidja, has reportedly submitted alleged chats exchanged between herself and Arya as evidence. The court hearing the case has asked for a deeper probe into the matter, as per Times of India, with the next hearing scheduled for August 17.

Some reports suggest complaints by the woman against Arya were made as early this year as February. The 40-year-old has not countered the case in public yet as fans await a response from him on the controversy.

Case Of German Woman Accusing Arya: What We Know So Far

Arya, who recently became father to a baby daughter, is married to fellow actor Sayyeshaa Saigal. The latter is the grand-niece of veteran actors Dilip Kumar and Saira Banu.

The couple tied the knot in 2019.

As per local reports, the mystery woman speaking against Arya is a German national from Sri Lanka. Vidja reportedly alleged Arya's mother abused her when she called to ask for the lakhs-worth amount she claims Arya borrowed from her.

Though the actor has not reacted publicly to the German woman's claims, she alleges Arya has been threatening her to take her cheating complaints back. According to some reports, Vidja even wrote to the Home Ministry with regard to the matter, demanding action from the state government in Tamil Nadu.
