Vicky Kaushal-Tripti Dimri Starrer To Release On This Day

Filmmaker Karan Johar took to social media to unveil the release date of his upcoming romantic-comedy production on Sunday. The film features Vicky Kaushal, Tripti Dimri, and Ammy Virk in the lead roles, with Anand Tiwari as the director.

Karan Johar expressed his deep attachment to the project in a heartfelt note, emphasising its personal significance to him. The untitled film is scheduled to hit theatres on February 23, 2024.

In his announcement, Karan Johar acknowledged the director and co-producer, Amritpal Singh Bindra, whom he considers family. He praised Bindra for his remarkable contribution to the project and commended him for establishing a company driven by creativity and goodwill rather than mere commercial success. Johar also hailed Anand Tiwari, the director of the film, as the town's funniest individual with a compassionate heart, attributing these qualities to the abundance reflected in the movie.

Praising his actors, Karan Johar expressed his admiration for Vicky Kaushal, describing him not only as an exceptional actor but also as a person of integrity and resilience. Johar eagerly anticipated the opportunity to direct Kaushal again in the future, reminiscing about their enjoyable collaboration in Lust Stories. Johar also hailed Ammy Virk as a powerhouse of energy and artistic talent, appreciating his captivating aura and vibe. Furthermore, he mentioned Tripti Dimri's debut in a commercial role, highlighting her stunning presence and how it enriches every aspect of the film, noting that she is solid in her performance.

Karan Johar concluded his statement by expressing gratitude towards Amazon Prime Video, which co-produced the film. He also shared his excitement about collaborating with Amritpal Singh Bindra and Anand Tiwari on multiple upcoming projects. The film, initially known as Rola, was filmed last year and included a song sequence choreographed by Farah Khan in Croatia. In addition to this project, Karan Johar is also preparing for the release of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. The romantic drama features Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh in the lead roles and is scheduled to hit theatres on July 28.
