Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, Ammy Virk Roped In Karan Johar's Next Romedy

The next untitled movie from Karan Johar's Dharma Productions was revealed on February 3. Vicky Kaushal, Tripti Dimri, and Ammy Virk play the main characters, and it will be released in theatres on August 25.

On February 3, the announcement was posted to Twitter by Karan Johar and Dharma Productions. The note reads, "Bringing together the three powerhouses of talent - Vicky Kaushal, Ammy Virk and Triptii Dimri led by the deft vision of director Anand Tiwari. Look out for the blast coming your way as this film makes its way to the theatres this August 25."

The movie's title hasn't yet been made public. The actors previously shared behind-the-scenes photos from their shoot, which piqued fans' interest in the movie, and now, finally, the producers have revealed the release date. The movie, which has been directed by Anand Tiwari, is marketed as a love comedy. The script is praised for being extremely funny and original, but it also gives the audience a powerful message.

The movie, which is also a collaboration between Leo Media Collective and Prime Video, will also be produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Amritpal Singh Bindra, and Anand.

In a previous statement, Johar had mentioned that the movie is unique for a number of reasons, two of which are Vicky and Anand's collaboration. The movie was dubbed "a perfect summer entertainer" by producer Apoorva. The upcoming movie from Anand Tiwari, she said, "is an eclectic blend of drama, emotions, and a dash of comedy that will leave the audiences gleaming."

Vicky Kaushal last appeared with Kiara Advani and Bhumi Pednekar in Govinda Naam Mera. Additionally, he made a fleeting cameo in Anurag Kashyap's film Almost Pyaar With DJ Mohabbat. He had previously collaborated with him on the Love Per Square Foot Netflix series, which also stars Tiwari's wife, Angira Dhar.

Alongside Babil Khan and Swastika Mukherjee, Triptii Dimri was most recently spotted in Qala. In the Hindi film industry, Ammy Virk, a well-known actor and singer in the Punjabi film industry, made his debut in Bhuj: The Pride of India. In Kabir Khan's 83, he was later observed. His third Bollywood film is this one.
