RJ Balaji's directorial Veetla Vishesham is the remake of the Hindi movie, Badhaai Ho. RJ Balaji stars with veteran actors Sathyaraj and Urvashi in this comedy-drama. The film received much applause from the audience after its recent release.
Veetla Vishesham has been garnering positive reviews ever since its release. Much like Badhaai Ho, Veetla Vishesham follows the life of Ilango (Balaji), his middle-aged parents (played by Urvashi and Sathyaraj), and a daunting grandmother KPAC Lalitha. Ilango's life turns upside down after his parents announce pregnancy. This comedy-drama follows Ilangos life as he faces humiliation and ridicule from society following his mother's pregnancy.

This story was written by Shantanu Srivatsava and Akshat Ghildial and re-written by actor-director RJ Balaji. Along with RJ Balaji, it is directed by NJ Saravanan. Karthick Muthukumar serves as the photography director, while Girish Gopalakrishnan acts as the music and Selva RK serves as the editor for the project.
