Announcing her comeback movie, Ved, on social media, actor Genelia D'Souza shared its release date. She also released the first look at her upcoming film, which is scheduled to be released on December 30. Her formal Marathi debut also marks her first full-length appearance in a major film in a decade.
On several of the movie's posters, Riteish Deshmukh, who is making his feature film directorial debut with Ved, is shown with Genelia D'Souza. Deshmukh is spotted smoking while sporting a rugged appearance. D'Souza, on the other hand, had the traditional appearance of an Indian girl.
Ved: Marathi Film To Mark Genelia DSouza Comeback
Sharing the posters, D'Souza wrote in Marathi, "I was born in Maharashtra. After I began acting, I made movies in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, among other languages. I received a lot of support from the audience there. I am making my Marathi film debut with Deshmukh's debut directional movie. It feels like a full circle for me to be working in Marathi." She added, "I am sure you will love me as much in Marathi too. Happy Diwali Padwa. Here is the first look of our mad movie."

Alongside Ved, D'Souza will also be starring in the upcoming Bollywood film, Mister Mummy, which also stars Riteish Deshmukh. The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar. With the Telugu-Kannada movie Production No. 15, she is apparently ready to make a comeback to the South Indian film industry as well.
With Tujhe Meri Kasam, the actor made her acting debut in 2003. She was last seen in Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya. During her ten years of absence from Bollywood, she featured in cameo appearances in films like Force 2 and Jai Ho. Additionally, she played the producer in the Marathi film Mauli.
As a producer, Riteish Deshmukh has produced Marathi films such as Balak Palak, Lai Bhaari, and Faster Fene. He made his acting debut in Marathi cinema with Lai Bhaari (2014). He will make his directional debut with Ved.
